Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team in Brisbane.  The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing and reviewing electrical systems for buildings and vertical structures, ensuring compliance with Australian and New Zealand standards. We are looking for someone who is experienced, can work independently, and can identify opportunities for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing designs and documentation of internal lighting systems and electrical systems for buildings and vertical structures, including switchboard layouts and building reticulation.
• Conducting design reviews against AS/NZS, NCC, and customer-specific standards, with a focus on identifying and correcting poor designs.
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with clients.
• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance delivery efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current RPEQ registration
• Demonstrated experience in the design of internal lighting systems and designing electrical systems for buildings and vertical structures.
• Thorough understanding and practical application of relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards.
• Experience working with clients in sectors such as QPS, DJAG, Health, and QCS is highly desirable.
• Ability to produce independent and comprehensive electrical designs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PowerCad, and AGI32 (or equivalent software).
• Experience with switchboard layouts, electrical building reticulation (vertical buildings), lighting layouts and CCTV systems.
