Modern Slavery Statement

Introduction

Contract Personnel is committed to ethical and responsible business practices and is dedicated to the eradication of modern slavery and human trafficking in all its forms. We understand the importance of this issue and are determined to take meaningful steps to combat it within our organisation and throughout our supply chains.

Organisation

Contract Personnel specialises in the recruitment of technical and professional personnel which is supplied to companies and organisations across many industries.  These industries include Architecture, Building and Construction, Energy, Consulting Engineers, Government Infrastructure, Manufacturing Minerals, Processing Mining, Oil and Gas Resource, Telecommunications and Transportation.

Due to the nature of our work, we do not have an extensive supply chain network and are pleased to declare after assessing our business practices and supply chain, we have identified and addressed low risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our organisation.  This conclusion is based on the following key factors:

  1. We maintain strong and transparent relationships with our suppliers and business partners. Through ongoing assessments, we ensure that our suppliers share our values and comply with our strict ethical standards.
  2. We remain fully committed to adhering to all relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations concerning modern slavery and human trafficking. We regularly monitor and update our practices to ensure compliance.
  3. We conduct due diligence on our suppliers to evaluate their ethical and labour practices.
  4. We provide training to our recruiters to increase awareness of modern slavery and human trafficking risks. This empowers our recruiters to identify, report, and help prevent any such activities within our organisation.
  5. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding modern slavery and human trafficking. Any violation or suspected violation will be thoroughly investigated, and immediate corrective action will be taken, including termination of any supplier relationship found in non-compliance.

Policies and Due Diligence

We have established policies and procedures designed to identify, prevent and mitigate the risks associated with modern slavery and human trafficking. These policies include:

  1. A Supplier Code of Conduct that outlines our expectations for suppliers and their compliance with anti-slavery and human trafficking standards.
  2. A questionnaire that is provided to all Suppliers to identify any possible modern slavery risks
  3. encouraging employees and suppliers to report any concerns related to modern slavery.
  4. providing training to our recruiters to increase awareness and understanding of modern slavery and human trafficking issues. This training is designed to equip our personnel with the knowledge and tools to identify and report potential risks.

Risk Assessment

We have conducted a comprehensive risk assessment to identify and evaluate potential modern slavery risks within our organisation and supply chains. This assessment is regularly reviewed and updated to adapt to changing circumstances.

Reporting and Monitoring

We have established mechanisms to monitor our efforts in combating modern slavery.   Employees can report concerns, and we have procedures in place to address these reports promptly and effectively.

Goals and Future Actions

Contract Personnel is committed to continuous improvement in our efforts to combat modern slavery. We are dedicated to refining our policies, increasing training initiatives, and strengthening our supply chain due diligence processes.

Contract Personnel will continue to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our anti-slavery and anti-trafficking efforts to ensure the continued low-risk status of our operations.  We remain committed to promoting ethical business practices and contributing to the global eradication of modern slavery and human trafficking.
